The BiOM and emPOWER Ankles use tablet-based software to customize tuning and gait normalization for each user. With the tablet, the prosthetist can adjust the Ankle so that the individual users’s gait falls within biological norms.
The Android-based Personal Bionics Tuning Application communicates with each specific Ankle via Bluetooth technology.
The tablet produces documentation of K3 or K4 mobility in the form of a Tuning Record. This record can be shared with the patient’s referring physician and payer, to document appropriate prescribing level.
