The Emergence of Personal Bionics™: Training Information
The BiOM and emPOWER Ankles feature a Personal Bionics Tuning process that adjusts the product’s performance to achieve a biomechanically-accurate ankle-foot response for each patient. All prosthetists must successfully complete a CEU course and be trained by a BionX Clinical representative before they can provide the device to a patient. The course includes the tools, technology and expertise to both fit and troubleshoot the emPOWER Ankle. Once completed, the practitioner is trained.
CEU Credits: 4.5
*Please note that the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) requires attendees must be present for the entire course (4.5 hours) in order to receive the allotted CEUs.
